It’s puzzling to see the abortion portion included in the overall Women’s Equality Act.
It is divisive ; and will likely lead to the Senate GOP voting against the entire Act.
With less than two weeks left in the session, passage of this Act in
full will be a miracle that will have the Vatican announcing that
Cuomo’s needs only a few more documented miracles to achieve sainthood.
Roe v. Wade, and related decisions, are currently the national law.
The so-called “pro-life” right-wing forces are active across the
country, lobbying state legislatures to pass laws that attack the Roe v.
Wade decision…i.e. closing of Planned Parenthood clinics; have abortion
performing doctors required to be linked to a hospital; lowering the
time for a fetus to be viable; on and on.
There are reportedly over a million abortions performed in the US annually.
The total should be reduced substantially.
Being a male, I can pontificate on women’s issues, and incur the wrath of females when I make irresponsible comments.
But as I’ve posted in the pass, no female needs to get pregnant.
And I’m a libertarian on sexual matters.
All adults can practice safe, smart, and responsible, sex.
