NY state casinos

(Skelos and Senate co-leader Jeff Klein each said they’d like to see casinos sited around New York — not just in Upstate America. Skelos said he’d like to see sites in New York City considered. (WSJ/DP)) ************ And public/private leaders up here in the historic Saratoga Springs region are lobbying for a full fledged casino in the Spa City. Are these casinos cost-effective? Are they effective, productive, economic dev. initiatives? More importantly, aren’t casinos reverse robin hood operations ..taking money from the middle,working classes, and the poor?
